Anthony L. Schumann
Principal
Anthony L. Schumann concentrates on several areas of state and federal litigation. Mr. Schumann has extensive experience representing corporate, governmental and individual clients during all stages of the litigation process.
During his distinguished career, Mr. Schumann has participated in well over 150 civil and criminal trials and evidentiary hearings. Prior to his founding Grant Schumann LLC, Mr. Schumann gained his extensive courtroom experience as a trial lawyer with the Office of the Cook County Public Defender, as a partner of Duckworth & Schumann, P.C., and as the principal attorney of Anthony L. Schumann, Ltd.
Currently, Mr. Schumann is acting as general counsel to Professional Elevator Services, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, and Schumann Cytology Laboratories, Inc., located in Trumbull, Connecticut.
In 2005, Law and Politics asked Illinois attorneys to name the best lawyers they have personally observed in action. As a result, Mr. Schumann was honored by being selected an Illinois Super Lawyer.
Mr. Schumann is the Chair of the Solo & Small Firm Committee of the Chicago Bar Association for 2007-2008. He also has recently been a speaker, moderated and served on panels at various conferences focusing on diversity in the legal profession and solo/small firm practitioners. Mr. Schumann currently serves as a member of the Commercial Law Committee of the National Bar Association and the Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, Governmental Liability and Products Liability Committees of the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Schumann also is available to represent clients in all stages of internal criminal, employment and regulatory agency investigations.
