Bob Moss began his career as part of a mileau therapy team at Michael Reese Psychosomatic & Psychiatric Institute in Chicago. After graduation from Northwestern University, Bob worked as an ADC caseworker before transferring to Juvenile Court as a Probation Officer. Bob received further training at University of Illinois IJR as a group therapist and family therapist.
Bob Moss’s career as an attorney began in the Guardian Ad Litem’s Office of Juvenile Court of Cook County, Illinois. He moved into private practice as a civil litigator with Goldberg & Alexander, and Feigl & Arnott PC, both of Dallas, Texas. Bob Moss spent 23 years as a State District Judge in Texas. In 1993 Moss became President of APTA, a litigation technology and legal consulting firm. The same year he also became a Mediator for civil and family cases. Today Bob continues to consult and is available for complex mediations.
Grant Schumann is pleased to have the counsel of Mr. Moss when handling the more complex areas and issues of litigation, whether they be substantive or procedural. Bob allows us to take advantage of his vast judicial and alternative dispute resolution experience.
Bob is a former Chair of the Law Practice Management Institute, Vice Chair of the CBA Legal Technology Committee, a member of the ISBA Standing Committee on Legal Technology, and a member of the CBA Consulting Legal Education Committee.
