Maurice L. Gue
Associate
Maurice Gue concentrates in the areas of business and
commercial litigation, real estate, and commercial lending. Mr.
Gue has significant experience representing Fortune 500,
medium and small business and individuals.
Mr. Gue has represented clients in federal and state court in a
variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract,
breach of fiduciary duty claims between a majority shareholder
and directors and officers of a corporation, irrevocable letters of
credit agreements and employment agreements. Mr. Gue has
also defended a client in a billing dispute seeking class
certification for breach of contract, fraud and violations of the
Illinois Public Utilities Act. In addition, he has represented
clients before the Illinois Appellate Court and federal and state
administrative agencies.
Prior to working for Grant Schumann LLC, Mr. Gue worked as
an associate specializing in commercial litigation and real estate
at Cohon Raizes & Regal, LLC.
Mr. Gue is a former member of the board of trustees of New
Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Gue graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology
Chicago Kent College of Law in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of
Arts from Loyola University of Chicago. Mr. Gue is a licensed
member of the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court
for the Northern District of Illinois.
